“The Meaning of Christmas”
Christmas day is almost near
That time of joy, laughter and good cheer,
When we exchange gifts and songs of love
But are everyone’s thoughts with the Lord above?
We seem to forget as the years progress
The true meaning of the holiday of Christmas,
It’s not just presents and cookies and cake
But the birth of our Savior, who died for our sake.
The birth of the Savior that created us all
And gives love to each one of us; big and small.
We should give thanks to our Savior, as each Christmas comes by
We should pray to our Savior until we’re taken to die.
