Be the one to understand. Continue reading “A Poem About A Helping Hand-“Be the One!””
A Poem About-“A Child”
When I was a child…
I may have been five or six
Then maybe eight or so…. ?
But, very meek and mild.
I know I had a shadow
I was fearful of most times
And monsters hid in places
I did not dare to go. Continue reading “A Poem About-“A Child””

A Poem About a Heavy Heart-“Secrets”
It grows slowly over time
So slow, you can hardly feel it
Planted deep in fertile soil
The less it’s felt, the more it grows.

“Itsy Bitsy Spider”
Your veneer wasn’t the only fake thing
Your insides were plastic
You could melt it and re-form it
into any version
to lure, or secure
but …all immaterial.
I’ve been the single in double lives before
Caught in that web
The more sensors put out
The more cunning the spinner
till you become part of the menagerie. Continue reading ““Itsy Bitsy Spider””

A Poem About a Young Girl Looking Ahead-“The Future”

A ‘Fake it Till You Make it’ Poem-“Facade”
She walks down the crowded street
Dodging faceless people
Needing to push on
To be somewhere on time.
She needs to have somewhere to be
She can create some wheres
But not no-wheres
The no-wheres happen unwillingly,
They are hollow.
She motors between people
As if the destination is important
Racing against time.
Everything needs to be attached to a time
It’s easier that way
to follow every day.
Yet, off in a far away place Continue reading “A ‘Fake it Till You Make it’ Poem-“Facade””
